Coming on the heels of his country’s disappointing World Cup performance, new Brazil national coach, Mano Menezes, has chosen a new-look, young Brazilian squad for his team's first match next month against the United States.
Menezes took over from Dunga, who was fired after Brazil’s quarter finals departure, losing 2-1 to the Netherlands in South Africa earlier this month.
In taking the job, he has already signaled that he wants to restore the old flamboyant style of Brazilian football and move away from Dunga’s style of tactical defensive play.

She migrated to Slovenia and became a citizen of that country for which she now competes. At the age of 46, four years ago, she competed in her first European Championships in Gothenburg for new country, where she made it into the semi-finals of the 100 meters.
Ottey will be seeking to upstage France's Nicole Brakebusch-Leveque, who is the oldest athlete so far to compete in the European Championships at age 47, contesting the marathon in Budapest in 1998.

According to Captain Horace Burrell, president of the Jamaica Football Federation, Jamaica will be able to field its strongest squad possible against Costa Rica, as all overseas players will be available for selection, seeing that it is a FIFA date.
